Our mother’s day service at baycity was one of those services that if you didn’t go, you were left kicking yourself! It was such an amazing morning, and all the mum’s of baycity were certainly treated like royalty! Here is just a snapshot..

Last Sunday..

…was incredible!

We had the privilege of hearing Pastor Fran Gullo from Suncoast Church on the Sunshine Coast come and speak to us and impart some TRUTH into our lives, and believe me, it was an incredible morning!

The worship was amazing, and Pastor Fran couldn’t help but comment on the incredible atmosphere Baycity Church had! In her own words, it was “definitely a church on the move”.

As if the week couldn’t be better, we held our first Baycity Womens event, with over 40 women turn up to Soft Cafe in Newtown. The women enjoyed MANY cups of coffee, and even more laughs, while hearing Pastor Fran speak another word, which left our women incredibly inspired and encouraged.

All in all, it has been an exciting week! And to let you in on a secret, because our first womens event was so successful, we are already planning our next one!

I have a great message stirring in my heart for this Sunday. If you can make it, come expectant for GOOD things to come! If you’re brave enough, consider inviting a friend. It may be the opportunity you’ve been praying for in their lives!

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday! ~ 10am @ 218 Roselyn Road, Highton ~

With love, Pastor Peter

The Hero in you!

Mark 5:25-34

We were created ordinary, for EXTRA-ORDINARY exploits! Look at the woman with the issue of blood: just an ordinary woman, who pushed through her circumstances to reach out to Jesus! Everyone is capable of extra-ordinary exploits, and to see genuine change happen in their lives, and in lives of their communities!

Everyone loves acronyms -H.E.R.O.

H - HOPE:Hebrews 11:1 - Hope is the platform faith needs to work on. Hope is an earnest expectation, to anticipate with pleasure. Hope comes from a healthy relationship with Jesus, knowing he is a good and loving God!

E -EVANGELISE:Matthew 28:18-20 - To evangelise is to communicate/connect.  A person who evangelises is a person who is commited to the cause of Christ! Jesus told us that what He has, He gives to us! Jesus is hope to a hope-depleted word, and it’s our responsibility to communicate that!

R - RISK TAKERS: Matthew 14:28-29 - A risk taker believes in the unseen. A risk taker gets up if they fall down. They take one step further than last time. They go the extra mile. They are AGENTS FOR CHANGE.

O - OVERCOME:1 John 5:4-5 - Whatever is born of God has overcome the world. Haven’t we been born again in God? Overcomers are people of FAITH. People who overcome believe the word of God in their heart, speak it out of their mouths, and live it out in their lives.

We aren’t called to merely exist. We are born ordinary, with the ability to achieve extra-ordinary things.

Do you have what it takes to be a hero?

Hi Church!

Welcome to our blog! This is the first of many blog posts, and soon we will have our church messages online for everyone to download..for free! We all love free stuff!

Each week we will give you a short and punchy word, which will serve as food for thought for the week. And we will have some fun along the way!

Our church service on Sunday was one of the best yet. There was such a strong presence of God, and many people left with new found freedom and hope! There is nothing we love more than to see people come into church who think that it’s all over and that there is no hope, only to receive a fresh touch from our Father in heaven, and leave with new expectation and vision and hope!

I preached on THE RECONCILIATION OF CHRIST - 2 Corinthians 5:17-21:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Firstly, the old has passed away, and all things have become new! When somebody comes to Christ, their life changes! They desire new things in life, they have new purpose, new vision, and find new hope! It is a beautiful miracle and it’s something that we love to see!

Secondly, God has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ. It is an amazing fact, that we are able to gain access to the incredible things of God through no effort on our behalf, but its all about what HE did FOR US! We have something to celebrate about!

Thirdly, upon us being reconciled to Christ, He then gives us the ministry and the word of reconciliation, and we become His ambassordors. Our word to this world is be reconciled to God. We need to understand that Christ works through people. If we don’t exercise the ministry we have been given, many people won’t find that same hope we have found!

Chew on this during the week. Think about it. Consider it. But most of all, outwork it. People’s lives depend on it!

We look forward to seeing you at 10:00am on Sunday! Come expecting GREAT things to happen! I know we are!

Much Love,
Pastor Peter
